This is supposedly a travel blog (although it is quite possible I may forget to write due to too much European wine or wandering around too many cities in search of an appropriate factor suncream at a reasonable price).

England: 3 days to go...
Ok. So, we have a pretty detailed plan; a list of hostels, most of which have incomprehensible names and addresses; and I have suncream in factors 6, 8 and a quite ancient looking 15 (a trip to boots seems extremely necessary). Amber, Hannah, Klara and I are leaving bright and early at 2.30am on Thursday and we're all praying, to whichever source of comfort we can find, that we'll be back in the country in a month's time. Whether we'll even make it to Gatwick in the first place has become increasingly doubtful however. With Klara resting her ankle for the next few days, Amber go-karting into brick-walls and convincing herself she has food-poisoning, and me bruised to above and beyond from a week's surfing, our first hurdle is making it onto the plane in a fit state for a hectic month in Europe. If I never post again, you can safely assume that we never even made it to Gatwick (or, more likely, I haven't found an internet cafe/gave up looking). X
